We count a 65-character line as one where a character is defined as any letter, number or symbol necessary for the final appearance and content of a document, including the space bar. In simpler terms, total number of characters with spaces divided by 65.
We define a character as any visible entry typed in the printed report. Invisible entries include spaces and hard returns between words/paragraphs/header fields.
